1. Chemicals: Many times products used for paint removal can also strip the color off a dyed wiper. This can cause a problem if the painters equipment or painting surface is damaged due to dye bleeding off the wiping product. If strong stains, thinners, or other chemicals are being used, we suggest white wipers only.
2. Surface: Used clothing or wipers with assorted constructions can be abrasive to sensitive surfaces. If a painter is working on an expensive or time consuming project, a cheap wiper will have no savings if it takes more time to complete.
3. Performance: For specialty staining, faux finishing, or smaller detail work it’s essential to select a wiper that will enhance the painters’ performance. Cheesecloth, specific terry products, and ultra soft finishing products are the most popular for fine detail work.
